SOUNDS OF ROYAL
ELECTRO ACOUSTIC ENSEMBLE
The ensemble works together with graduated and current students of the Classical and Sonology department to compose and explore the use of electronics in combination with acoustical instruments. To give you an idea on what we have to offer on stage, we make use of different elements of performing; visual effects, electronics under command of a Sonologist and of course the traditional classical instruments.

ON THE WAY
Clarinet, Live Electronics and Fixed Media
Performance in Royal Conservatory (Den Haag) 7-5-2019
On the Way is a piece characterized by both the generation of sound gestures resulting from the use of feedback, resonance filters, reverb, and the unconventional use of the instrument with the experimentation on sound that it can be produced.
The tape plays a main role like a second clarinet for the whole piece, it is produced mainly with sound material coming from the same instrument and then post manipulated.
The piece also aims to integrate the part of Live Electronics as an extension of the Calrinet, which is constantly in dialogue with the fixed media part.
Live Electronics & Fixed Media Composed and Performed by: Margherita Birillada
Clarinet: Baris Umarer
